Pay once
Checkout takes about two minutes and runs through your own free Henedo account, so the gift stays attached to you. $79, one time. Nothing renews.
02
Two emails go out
You get a receipt with the gift code. They get an invitation with a link, their name, and the note you wrote. You can also read the code to them over the phone; it is written for exactly that.
03
They tap, they claim
The link opens a page that shows the gift waiting for them. No price anywhere, no card step, ever. They pick an email and password and the year begins.
04
The stories start
One question at a time, whenever they like. They answer out loud from any phone, and every answer is kept, in their own voice, in a home of its own.
Want to feel it before you give it? The Ask is free to try today, question by question.
It starts with a questionthey will want to answer.
Not "tell me about your life." A question with a scene in it, one they can close their eyes and walk back into. These are five of the questions waiting in the deck:
Childhood
What did the kitchen smell like on a Sunday when you were small?
Work & craft
What did you spend the first wages you ever earned on?
Love & partnership
How did you meet? Tell it like a scene: where you were standing, and who spoke first.
Place & home
What did you see out of your bedroom window growing up?
Legacy & advice
Say the recipe everyone asks you for out loud, the way you actually make it.
81 questions in the deck, and room for your own.
Eight themes across a whole life, ramping gently from the sensory to the things worth passing on. Or they can skip the deck entirely and just talk.
Inside the gift, everything a year of telling needs.
The Ask
You send a question. They tap the link and talk, without an app or account for the contribution. Recordings use the account storage allowance.
More than 1,000 life story questions
Childhood, first jobs, the day they met, the streets they grew up on. Answerable in text, voice, or video, one small chapter at a time.
A journal in their voice
Voice notes, video messages, and dated entries for the days worth keeping, private to them.
100 GiB of private space
Room for meaningful photos, recordings and letters during the gift year, with export available.
Six digital Book compositions
The gift includes six AI compositions from selected written Life Story answers, with consent. Voice-to-book processing and a printed book are not included.
The voice features other story services sell as a premium upgrade are simply included here.
Talking is the whole point. It was never going to cost extra.
What this gift never doesmatters as much as what it does.
A full year to begin
The gift covers twelve months of Solo from redemption. Begin with one meaningful answer and build at your own pace during the membership.
No silent renewal
$79 once is $79 once. The year never quietly becomes a subscription, and nobody is billed while not looking.
No card needed to redeem
You pay for the gift year. The recipient needs no card to redeem, and any membership renewal or additional purchase is a separate, optional choice.
Export and renewal choices
At expiry, the recipient can renew or return to the free allowance. Export is available; storage and retention follow the account terms.
Questions
Everything to knowbefore you give it.
One year of Henedo Solo for someone you love, paid once. The year holds the weekly questions of The Ask, more than 1,000 life story questions they can answer in their own voice, a journal for voice and video notes, 100 GiB of private space for photos and recordings, and six AI Book compositions from selected written answers with consent. You pay $79 today, for twelve months of membership. Renewal is optional.
Shortly after checkout, two emails go out: a receipt to you carrying the gift code, and an invitation to them with a link that opens the gift, shows their name and your note, and lets them claim the year. The code itself is twelve characters designed to be read out loud over the phone, with none of the characters people confuse.
No. Their invitation has one button. It opens a page that greets them by name, and claiming the year takes a couple of minutes: they choose an email and password, and the year begins. From then on, answering a question means tapping a link and talking for up to a minute. There is nothing to install and nothing to configure.
Never. You are the only payer. There is no card step for them, no trial that quietly converts, and the year does not renew by itself. When it ends, it simply ends, unless you or they choose to continue it.
The gift still lands. If they are on the free plan, the year of Solo starts the moment they redeem. If they already pay for Henedo, the year is added on top of what they have, so nothing you paid for is lost.
Twelve months from the day you buy. And if the code is still unopened a week before that window closes, we email you a reminder with the code and the link, so a busy season never quietly swallows the gift.
The gift includes twelve months of paid membership. When it ends, they may choose to renew or return to the free allowance. They can export their material; storage and retention follow the account terms.
The available gift is twelve months of Solo for $79. Household ($129) and Family ($299) gift years are planned but are not available for checkout. Eternal Vault is a separate one-time cloud-archive purchase, managed in your dashboard.
