Terms of Service

Last updated April 19, 2026. Henedo is a software platform. We are not a law firm, and these Terms define the scope of what we do and do not provide.

Not legal advice

Henedo provides document templates reviewed by licensed attorneys on a per-state basis. This is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. For complex estates, trusts, business succession, blended families, specific asset transfer strategies, consult a licensed attorney. Henedo offers per-document attorney review as an optional $79 add-on via our partner network.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to execute a will in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your passphrase and recovery credentials. Henedo cannot recover your vault if you lose your passphrase, recovery key, passkey, and all other recovery methods simultaneously.

Subscription billing

Guardian and Legacy are monthly subscriptions. Legacy has a 3-month minimum commitment due to the cost of producing and mailing engraved metal NFC cards. Cancel anytime after the minimum. Multi-year prepayments are non-refundable after a 14-day cooling-off period.

Eternal Vault is a one-time purchase. Storage is preserved for the purchased duration (100–500 years) regardless of any future Henedo business status, via distributed replication and open encryption standards documented inside the vault itself.

Acceptable use

Henedo is for personal estate planning and legitimate family legacy use. You may not use the platform to store illegal content, conduct financial fraud, evade legal process, or host material that would be illegal in the United States. We cannot inspect your vault (zero-knowledge architecture), so enforcement is largely a matter of account termination based on external reports or evidence.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. Termination permanently deletes all ciphertext and metadata within 30 days. We may terminate your account for non-payment or material violation of these Terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Henedo’s aggregate liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Henedo in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes are resolved via binding arbitration in Wilmington, Delaware, except that either party may bring an action for injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
