Features

Seven features. One platform.Your legacy, protected.

Henedo is a single zero-knowledge platform with seven surfaces: a will builder, an encrypted vault, a 1,000-prompt Life Story, crypto inheritance, a dead man’s switch, a multimedia journal, and a 100-to-500-year Eternal Vault. Every feature shares the same trusted contacts, the same encrypted store, and the same release rules — so you set things up once, then keep updating instead of re-doing.

The seven featuresthat make up Henedo.

Each feature is a full product on its own. Together, they share the same encryption, the same contact list, and the same release controls — so adding one never means re-keying or re-uploading what you’ve already done.

Digital Will

Legally-recognized will, all 50 states.

Attorney-reviewed templates. Build in two minutes. Update unlimited times. Generate, sign, and store your will alongside everything an executor will need.

  • State-specific witness and notary clauses
  • Unlimited updates as life changes
  • Auto-paired with the rest of your vault

Digital Vault

100 GB, end-to-end encrypted.

Insurance, deeds, tax records, password vault, recovery codes — all stored zero-knowledge under a key only you hold. The server never sees plaintext.

  • AES-256-GCM with Argon2id-derived keys
  • Device-bound Account Secret Key
  • Open formats. Free export, anytime.

Crypto Inheritance

Don’t let your Bitcoin die with you.

40 million Americans own crypto. Most have no plan. Henedo stores recovery phrases with split-key delivery and only releases on a controlled trigger.

  • Seed phrases for hardware and software wallets
  • Engraved metal NFC card + email completion code
  • Works with Ledger, Trezor, MetaMask, Phantom, and more

Dead Man’s Switch

Release on inactivity. Never before.

A 5-week warning cascade after 180 days of silence, gated server-side. Your trusted contacts already hold the keys — the switch only unlocks the ciphertext.

  • Configurable inactivity window
  • Email + SMS escalation cascade
  • Server-side policy gate, even for compromised keys

Journal

The journal that becomes a legacy.

Daily text, voice notes, video, and photos. Encrypted under your master key. Scheduled to deliver to the people you choose, on the date you decide.

  • Voice and video messages, not just text
  • Per-recipient delivery rules
  • Date-locked or trigger-based release

Life Story

1,000 questions. The person behind the documents.

A curated bank of 1,000 prompts across ten dimensions of a life — childhood, family, love, career, lessons, legacy. Voice, video, or text. The memoir layer no other estate-planning product ships.

  • 10 categories × 100 prompts each
  • Voice and video answers, encrypted under your master key
  • Released on the dead man's switch or sealed for 500 years

Eternal Vault

100–500 years. Post-quantum signed.

A permanent, cryptographically-signed record of your life. Inheritable across generations. Ed25519 today, ML-DSA-65 against quantum tomorrow.

  • One-time purchase, no subscription decay
  • Hybrid classical + post-quantum signatures
  • M-DISC physical backup option

How the features work together

Most legacy products are silos: one app for the will, another for the vault, a spreadsheet for the crypto, a sticky note for the passwords. When something needs to release, no single system has the full picture, and your family has to assemble the pieces under the worst conditions imaginable.

Henedo is the inverse: one product, seven internal subsystems, each isolated by design but sharing the primitives that matter. Three of those primitives are user-facing.

01 · Encrypted store

One vault, every feature.

Will documents, scanned deeds, recovery phrases, journal entries, and Eternal Vault manifests all live in the same AES-256-GCM store, keyed off your device-bound ASK.

02 · Trusted contacts

Add a person once.

Each contact you designate already holds their decryption material the day you add them — engraved metal NFC card on Legacy and Eternal, email completion code on Guardian. Will, vault, journal, and crypto all share that same contact graph.

03 · Release rules

One switch governs all.

The dead man’s switch is the single server-side gate. Until it fires, ciphertext is never served — even to a contact who holds a valid key. After it fires, every feature unlocks together.

Which features come with which plan

Witness is free and gets you started. Guardian and Legacy are monthly subscriptions that cover all five day-to-day features. Eternal Vault is a separate one-time purchase you can add to any tier. See full pricing.

Frequently asked

Start with what is most urgent — most people begin with the digital will, then add the vault and crypto inheritance over the following weeks. Every feature works standalone, but they share the same encrypted store and the same trusted-contact list, so adding more never means re-uploading or re-keying.

They share three primitives: a single zero-knowledge encrypted store, a single set of trusted contacts who already hold their decryption keys, and a single dead man’s switch that decides when ciphertext is released. The will references vault entries, the journal and Life Story share the contact list, the crypto vault uses the same DMS — one system, seven surfaces.

A watermarked will template, 1 GB of vault storage, and 1 trusted contact. Enough to put a real plan in place. The dead man’s switch, journal, crypto inheritance, and engraved metal NFC cards are on Guardian ($7.99/mo) and Legacy ($11.99/mo). Eternal Vault is a separate one-time purchase from $499.

All vault content is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, which remains safe under known quantum attacks. What is post-quantum-signed is the Eternal Vault manifest and the binary transparency log, using ML-DSA-65 (NIST FIPS 204) alongside Ed25519. Authenticity, not confidentiality, is the part that quantum threatens for symmetric crypto.

Yes. Open file formats, free export at any time, and an M-DISC physical backup option mean your heirs can decrypt the vault with the keys they hold and standard cryptographic tooling, even if the company is gone. We document the decryption procedure publicly on the portability page.

A digital will: 2 minutes. Crypto inheritance for a single wallet: 10 minutes. A complete plan with vault, will, contacts, and DMS configured: about 40 minutes. Most people complete it across two or three sittings; nothing is destructive, you can revise anything at any time.

You don’t have to set everything up today.

Start with the will. Add the vault next week. Configure crypto inheritance the week after. Every feature stays in sync, and your trusted contacts only ever need to be added once.
